Alaska Fishing 2017

…Finally. We finally made it to Alaska. This was Kim’s first trip to the Great White North and her first experience salmon fishing. After a stay in Portland, we made our way to Anchorage, then travelled via a float plane out to the Yetna River to fish Clear Creek for Sockeye and Silvers. Despite missing the Sockeye run by about one day, thanks to the guiding abilities of my father, we were able to still limit on two of the four days. Kim learned remarkably fast and by the end of the trip our hands and forearms were sore from fighting salmon 8+ hours a day. What. A. Great. Trip…..
